The Proposed Sunrise Cliffs 101 acre development, located conveniently near downtown Moab on the corner of 5th West and Kane Creek Blvd., will be the most ambitious development Moab has ever seen.

The property affords itself to beautiful views of Moab, the La Sal Mountains, the Colorado River, and from atop the Moab Rim, panoramic views in all directions reminding us of why we live in this extraordinary place.

The subdivision amenities will include a water course beginning at the top of the property meandering its way down to a meditation pool in the center of a large walking labyrinth located in the park, which will be dedicated to the city.  The water course will feature beautiful waterfalls, and small pools along the way.  In the center of the labyrinth, in the center of the meditation pool will be a globe turned with Moab top dead center.  On March 21st and September 21st, the spring and fall equinox of every year, the globe will come to life as it glows like a ball of fire from the sunbeam shining through a nearby sun tunnel aligned to allow the sunbeam to pass through only on those two days. 

The park will be for everyone in the city to enjoy with a playground for the kids and pavilions for family gatherings and city wide functions.  There will be hiking trails, mountain biking trails, picnic facilities, and public restrooms.

The water course will periodically be replenished with water stored in the lake created from recycled treated gray water collected from the residences above the elevation of the lake.  Trees and lawns in the park will also utilize this recycled water.  The lake, made by creating a dam, will be for the public to use for swimming, row boating, fishing, etc.  It will include public access, parking, and a small boat ramp.

Because Moab is such a unique community with a wide variety of housing needs, Canyon Dream Properties, LLC will be offering a mix of building and housing options, half workforce affordable and half upscale expensive.

The workforce affordable housing will include a modular park and efficiency apartment building for rentals, as well as a mix of single family and twin homes.  Our goal is to offer at least 150 workforce affordable housing units to the community.

Because five acres of the property tops the Moab Rim, we will be offering five 1 acre lots right on top the rim!  That's right, I said on top the rim!  We will be constructing a tunnel from the bottom of the rim all the way to the top.  This tunnel will be formed by sawing dimension building stone from within the rim.  This stone will be used to build retaining walls and landscaping in the development.  The tunnel will be a private driveway to the top, making this the most exclusive property in Moab. 

The tunnel will also provide access to as many as 150 condominiums that will be built right into the cliff.  The luxury, "green" condominiums will be invisible from the street, completely hidden in the rock.  Because of the one-way windows, no light will be seen from the valley at night.  With these condominiums being built right into the rock, following in the footsteps of the ancient cliff dwellers, the residents will be living in the most energy efficient dwelling on the planet!
